Recently had a baby boy this year!!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Getting back into running since I had baby #2. Run injury free!

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Honestly I just love to run, and I hope that I can do it the rest of my life..until the day I die!

ran 5 mile loop at Mr Dee's with Cheri......did 30 min yoga and 30 min of quad strengthening exercises

 

Also, signed up for SG marathon........hope my back holds up and i can actually do it....i have no expectations this yr, I am just so GRATEFUL that I can actually run after my injuries!

ran with 2 new friends today Cathy eightkidmom and Katie! Did the Bloomington loop by our house. Came home and did weights and yoga before work

 

Also, Ironman did a special feature on my husband for doing the IronMan and loosing weight. He lost over 100 lbs and has totally changed his life. He inspires me and makes me want to "think" about doing an Ironman someday. Check out the link  IRONMAN.COM

ran 10 miles down the marathon coarse with Cheri, Cathy and Katie. I slept in and had to drive up to find them on the coarse. Good news is that i was planning on dropping my car off and then only doing eight, but since I slept in I ended up doing 10! Yeah! Although to be fair....I did walk alot! But Im still counting it as 10 miles!  Its the most I have ran since I got preggers! Other good news was, It worked out that I didn't have to end up running the full 16 miles that everyone else did :)

After I got home My husband and I went on a 20 mile bike ride. It was a easy recovery ride for him, but a hard grueling ride for me!

ran 5 with Cheri this morning. Came home and did 20 min of yoga. Later after kids woke up and while they ate breakfast they watched me do "Jillian Michaels: No More Trouble Zones".....tough workout for me....kinda not looking forward to tomorrow, last time I worked out with Jillian I couldn't walk the next day!

was suppose to work this morning, but my work called and said I didn't need to be there until 4pm....YES!!!!

So I went running with Cheri and Joelle. I haven't ran with Joelle for ages, fun to catch up!

Later did Pilates workout and Core Secrets "Bun Battle" workout~!

Ran 10 with Courtney and Peggy. Also met with new running friend Haley....These girls kicked my butt! I had a very hard time the last few miles! But I finished! yeah! This was the furthest I have ran since the baby. Last week I did just under 10 miles.....however, I walked a few of those miles, so I am counting this run as my longest! Avg pace 9:05....I am looking forward to the day that 9min/miles feel easy again! 

 After went on a 20 mile bike ride out to Kayanta with my husband, Tiffany and Jennifer. It was lots of fun. We just took it easy. We also stopped at Xtavia Gardens in Kayanta and ate! Yum!

tried Crossfit with my husband tonight. We really liked it. I couldn't even do one pull up! Hope this helps me get stronger!

Did Crossfit tonight with Ryan and Joelle. My arms were sooooo dead when I was done; Ryan was teasing me that when I was texting I had to take breaks between words!

Hopefully will do yoga or stretching after kids are in bed tonight

I was so sore from Xfit yesterday, that I skipped my morning run with Cheri and Courtney. Later I wish I had run....oh well.

This evening I went out to the lake (Sand Hallow) and swan 1 miles with Jennifer and my husband. I have never done an open water swim like this before, but thought I would try it.  I probably panicked like 15 times the first half mile, then the last half mile felt a little better....sometimes its just so creepy swimming in the middle of the lake. I think Im going to try to do this more often.

I was suppose to go into work early. My work called and asked if I could be the closing nurse instead and come in at 2pm. My bed felt so comfy....the answer was easy! So around 930am after the kids woke up and ate, I put them in the running stroller and ran/walked. That thing is dang heavy and hard to push, I don't even bother bringing my watch!  Very nice outside; tons of people at the park, playing in river, and golfing! Summer is here!

came home and did 20 min yoga workout. Felt good to get all stretched out from Xfit yesterday!

I wanted to see if I could do an olympic length tri today. My husband and I went and did it today. I had so much fun.  Our transition times however were like 30 min long!  But it was fun, and hot. We finished around 130pm.

 

Swam 1 mile

Bike 20 miles

Ran 6 miles (pace 850)

 

 

P.S. Best moment of the day was when we met Heather and Trevor Wurtele (Pro's that currently reside in SG. Heather won SGIM the last 2 yrs).......So Cool, but the best part was right after we got done talking with them I got on my bike, rode for 30 seconds then tipped over and fell over cuz my darn foot couldn't get out of my clips!.......so embarrassingly awesome!........can't stop laughing now that Ive been thinking about it!

Woke up early and did interval Workout with Cheri.  I was just not feelin it today. We ran hard as we could for 7 minutes x4.  I had zero energy.  I have been doing strict Paleo diet for the last few weeks and I think I can totally tell today, I need more energy. I am going to start eating the Paleo for endurance athletes now that I am running more etc (incorporating more carbs). I hope this helps me have more energy....it's not good when you want to fall asleep during the workout!

Came home and ate carbs.....I could literally feel the sugar entering my brain.....much needed fuel! Met Ryan for lunch today. Had a taco salad! Yum....more much needed fuel!

Went to Xfit this evening. Killer Workout "the Murph"

ran 1 mile, 50 pullups(scaled), 100 pushups (scaled), 200 squats (scaled), ran 1 mile

first mile pace 7:12, second mile pace 8:02

I had so much more energy at crossfit, than this morning!

Food =Good!!!!!
